About this Pendant
The Our Lady of Sorrows pendant honors the Blessed Virgin Mary under one of her most beloved titles. September 15 marks the Memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows, a day that commemorates the seven sorrows Mary endured throughout her life, from the prophecy of Simeon to the burial of Jesus. The month of September is traditionally dedicated to this devotion, making an Our Lady of Sorrows pendant a meaningful gift for anyone practicing September devotion to Mary's sorrows.
This sterling silver pendant is die struck and hand polished by New England Silversmiths, depicting Our Lady of Sorrows on a round double-sided medal. It comes on an 18-inch surgical stainless steel chain in a deluxe velvet gift box, ready to give for a feast day celebration, birthday, or sacrament gift.
Catholic feast day traditions often include giving a religious gift that connects the recipient to the saint or holy person being honored. An Our Lady of Sorrows pendant does exactly that. It is a wearable reminder of Mary's steadfast faith through suffering, and a piece that can be blessed by a priest and worn daily.
